Roles and Responsibilities of RVN

RVN performs the following functions:

  • Receiving transactions into, and forwarding them through, the execution pipeline under its management

  • Assigning identifying information indicating through which RVN a given transaction was introduced

  • Measuring and recording events such as processing delays, omissions, retransmissions, and failures on a per-RVN basis

  • Signing and attaching metadata related to the transaction delivery path

  • Performing basic pipeline management to prevent duplicate ingress of the same transaction
