# KONET Layer-1: Enterprise Settlement Mainnet

KONET’s Layer-1 Mainnet serves as the layer responsible for global state management and

finalization of the network, and performs the following roles:

* **Protocol parameter management**
* **Execution of governance logic**

Layer-1 operates with a validator-driven consensus architecture, where block production and state finalization are handled by a predefined set of trusted validators.

The primary objective of Layer-1 is not maximizing transaction throughput, but ensuring state consistency, deterministic execution, and long-term verifiability of the network.
